Åpenhetsloven - Statement from Entrack

As a responsible business, Entrack takes its social responsibility seriously. We are committed to conducting our business in an ethical and sustainable manner. In accordance with the requirements of Section 5 of the Transparency Act, we wish to provide an account of our practices and measures within basic human rights, decent working conditions and responsible business practices.

Entrack is a nationwide company that sells new Kobelco excavators, Yanmar machines, Kramer wheel loaders and Ljungby wheel loaders, as well as new and used parts and equipment for the construction industry. In addition, the company provides service and repair services for the construction industry. The company's head office is at Grinder in Grue municipality. Entrack AS has branches in Stavanger, Lillesand, Moss, Lillehammer, Trondheim, Bergen, Førde, Åfarnes and Ballangen. Entrack AS also rents out machinery and equipment through its subsidiary Entrack Utleie AS.

As part of the project with the Transparency Act, Entrack has updated routines and practices for activity assessments in line with the requirements of the Transparency Act. In addition, we have, among other things, reviewed and updated the plan for auditing suppliers based on risk assessments.

The procurement process and risk assessments of suppliers are important in our efforts to promote respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. Therefore, we have implemented measures to identify and manage any risks related to these areas. We conduct regular assessments and checks of our suppliers to ensure that they operate in accordance with relevant guidelines and standards. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that they comply with basic human rights and decent working conditions. We require documentation confirming that their practices comply with our standards, and we will encourage them to improve their own practices where necessary. We use the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct as a basis for our work:

Based on our assessments, our operations generally entail limited risk of negative consequences in the areas of fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. Competent, satisfied and committed employees are one of our most important input factors. Entrack is known for having a good and inclusive working environment. We have competitive terms and conditions in all job categories and facilitate a good work-life balance. The company has no restrictions for its own employees when it comes to joining trade unions. However, we are aware that the greatest risk relates to procurement from foreign suppliers. In order to minimise any negative impact, Entrack seeks as far as possible to buy from recognised European manufacturers that are subject to the same legislation as Norway, which in turn has strict requirements and good follow-up of its subcontractors. We closely monitor our suppliers and require documentation to ensure that they fulfil our standards and guidelines. As part of the work in connection with the Transparency Act, the company's Supplier Code of Conduct document has been updated with additional information, requirements and guidelines to cover requirements for human rights and decent working conditions, but also to cover the UN's other principles. As of now, Entrack is not aware of any violations of requirements for human rights or decent working conditions, either internally or at the supplier level.

Our «Policy for responsible business and human rights» is also updated, adopted and anchored in the organisation. We have the following guidelines to ensure responsible practices:

POLICY FOR RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS AND HUMAN RIGHTS

Entrack AS and its subsidiaries are committed to conducting business in a responsible manner and respecting human rights in all our activities. We apply the following guidelines to ensure responsible practices:

UN human rights

We support the UN's human rights and will comply with these in all our activities. We recognise our duty to respect human rights and contribute to the promotion and strengthening of human rights in society.

Expectations of the organisation and suppliers

We expect all employees, subsidiaries and suppliers to comply with the following standards:

  • Do not discriminate against employees, business partners or customers on the basis of race, religion, gender, age, national origin or sexual orientation.
  • Ensure a safe workplace and take responsibility for protecting the health and safety of employees.
  • Respect the rights of workers to freedom of association and to organise, and provide fair working conditions and competitive wages.
  • Protect the environment and reduce our impact on climate change and other environmental issues.

Follow-up of policy violations

We will investigate and address all reported violations of our policies. We will take action to remedy the situation, correct errors and prevent future violations.

Guidelines for reporting policy violations

We encourage all stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, customers and society at large, to report violations of our policies. Reports can be made to the general manager. We will treat all reports confidentially and handle them in a serious and fair manner.
