It runs extremely light in the snow
The plough moves very easily in the snow thanks to the angle of the plough blade (50° to the road surface) and the special design of the blade, which allows the snow to rotate away from it.
Tornado Straight / Tornado Tapered
Siljum's Tornado plough is available in two variants. Tornado Straight is best suited for ploughing where accessibility is required, for example near house walls and fences. Tornado Tapered is recommended for normal road ploughing, as the conical shape provides optimal removal of snow masses. The conical plough does not leave streaks when clearing snow from, for example, fences, posts and walls.
Can plough in both directions
The hydraulic diagonal adjustment allows the snow to be ploughed in both directions, resulting in high utilisation.
Follows the angle of the roadway
The horizontal oscillation allows the plough to adapt smoothly and elegantly to the angle of the road surface.
Security system
The Tornado plough is available with two types of collision protection:
Steering system: The steering system is tried and tested and popular. In the event of obstacles in the road surface, the blade rolls backwards/upwards and is lifted over the obstacle. This system is recommended for normal ploughing of roads.
Independent shear: Siljum's new safety system means that the plough blade is divided into several independent blades. In the event of an uneven road surface, the blade that hits the obstacle springs backwards, but then immediately returns to its normal position once the obstacle has been passed. This system works for all types of ploughing, but comes into its own in demanding conditions, such as curbs, manhole covers that stick up, etc. Tornado ploughs with this safety system can also be equipped with mod-cutters.
